Fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert Trojan

One of the newest Trojans currently infecting computer systems is again using a name of Microsoft. This time is comes with a title of Microsoft Security Essentials Alert which attempts to install some rogue program to the targeted computer system. It was noticed that Fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert Trojan can infect with 5 programs: AntiSpySafeguard, Peak Protection 2010, Pest Detector 4.1, Major Defense Kit or Red Cross Antivirus. Basically, they all are the same program but it comes under different names.

If you choose to scan your system with one of the above mentioned programs you will definitely be infected. Once inside the application will imitate system scan. Then it will generate a list of supposedly existing files and finally, imitate removing them. However, this procedure will be fabricated by telling that the program wasn't able to remove all infections and in order to clean the system completely you will be offered to purchase a full version of the program.

Ignore such messages and any scan results by AntiSpySafeguard, Peak Protection 2010, Pest Detector 4.1, Major Defense Kit or Red Cross Antivirus. These are not reputable antispyware programs so you shouldn't trust them. Remove fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert Trojan and the program that was installed together as soon as possible.
