Add, Hide, and Remove Worksheets in Microsoft Excel 2007

In Microsoft Excel 2007, all the new workbook comes with 3 blank worksheet attached to it. You may choose to add or remove the worksheet as needed, using some simple steps that I am going to show you later.

One simple way to add the new worksheet is to click on the Insert Worksheet button at the last tab to the right. You will see new worksheet added in response to that action. Alternatively you may follow the path Home-- >Cells-- >Insert-- >Insert Sheet command, which you will see worksheet added every time you click on Insert Sheet command. However, there are a slight difference in comparison as the worksheet will always appears to the left of the current worksheet.

You could continue to add the worksheet until you find yourself have to use scroll button to find your worksheet, as such, you may want to limit the number of worksheet you want to have on the workbook.

To remove worksheets from workbooks, you will need to follow the path Home-- >Cells-- >Delete-- >Delete Sheet command, it will remove the current active worksheet. Remember, you will only able to delete the worksheet and you are not able to restore it anymore, there is no Undo function for the deletion of worksheet, so you may want to be careful on what you want to delete. And you could only delete down to one worksheet, and could reduce anymore. You will not see a workbook without any worksheet, it is just not acceptable to Microsoft Excel 2007.

Sometimes you will find too many worksheets and you wish to hide some of them, the worksheet still exists but it is not visible to the reader, and you may retrieve it anytime it is needed. Just select the worksheet you want to hide, follow the path Home-- >Cells-- >Format-- >Hide & Unhide-- >Hide Sheet, you will hide the current active sheet.

To unhide the worksheet, you may follow the path Home-- >Cells-- >Format-- >Hide & Unhide-- >Unhide Sheet, you will be provided with a pop up menu for you to select the sheet you want to unhide. The procedure is pretty simple and straightforward.
