Mind Control Techniques

Throughout the ages, mind control techniques have always been regarded as highly controversial in nature and have been widely debated in both professional practitioner and non-professional circles.

- Have you not sometimes wondered what the debate is all about?
- Is mind control another form of brainwashing?
- Are there some sinister and evil things related to the technique?
- Can these techniques force you to hand over control of your mind to someone else?

The definitions related to mind control can probably fill a dictionary, as some of them are so varied in its complexity. If you should speak to a psychologist, psychotherapist, hypnotist or neuro-lingual practitioner, I bet that you will get a different version from all of them.

- Can certain everyday occurrences in your life also not be described as mind control?
- What about the dieting fads, the notion of peer approval and wanting to be part of the crowd?
- What about making a fashion statement with the latest (or outdated) clothing item?
- How about personal prejudices against other racial and religious groups, based on a doctrine or belief you were introduced to as a child?

The advertising world is known to use something called subliminal messages, with the ultimate intention of triggering a positive association with the product in question, and converting you to a buyer. This might be seen as a milder form of mind control, but do not tell this to those that are already hooked, as they will give you another justification.

By example, when one of my teenage daughters was at the age of four, she was so obsessed with a certain soft drink brand, that when ever we passed a bill-board advertising this drink, she suddenly felt thirsty.

But can mind control also not be seen in a positive light as well? Have you not heard about people singing the praises and advocating the benefits of relaxation and meditation? Did you not hear of the background music played within a certain frequency that has assisted learners and students with better concentration?

Is it therefore not about time that we demystify everything about mind control? There is so much uncertainty, doubt, fear and ignorance around us that it becomes important that you make the effort to become better informed about mind control.
