How to Permanently Delete Files - Using Windows Secret Built-In Tool

You may or may not know that when you drag items to the trash on your computer, they aren't permanently deleted. Just watch an episode of your favorite CSI show, and you'll see that its possible to recover files that haven't been deleted properly. And while I'm sure you're not guilty of any CSI type crimes (or are you?), I'm sure you want to figure out how to permanently delete your files and keep your private things private -- after all everyone has to have some secrets!

Why emptying your recycling bin doesn't permanently delete your files

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

When you tell your computer to empty its recycling bin, your operating system only deletes the records it has of the files you want to delete. Yet the files still remain on the hard drive memory.

Here's an analogy: If you think of your files as books in a library and you decide you no longer have use for a certain book. Emptying the trash is equivalent to removing the entry in the library's card catalog. The book is still there but not easily found by everyday visitors. But if someone really wanted to find it, and had a clue where to look, they quite possibly do so since it is still physically there.

What it means to permanently delete a file

To permanently delete a file, you need to not only delete its record, but also overwrite the physical portion of the hard drive where it lives. A low level format is equivalent to replacing your private file with random bits (1's and 0's). Continuing with the library analogy you need to remove remove the book, shred it, light up in flames and possibly replace it with a different book

A simple way to permanently delete?

According to Microsoft, there is a keyboard shortcut in Windows to, quote, "permanently delete files". You do this by selecting your file and hitting SHIFT+DEL. Convinced? Neither am I. What they're really explaining is a shortcut from having to move the item to the trash and then emptying the trash.

Take it a step further

Here's a poor man's version of permanent deletion. Delete your files, empty your recycle bin, and run Disk Defragmenter located in the Start menu under Accessories/System Tools. What this will do is optimize your hard drive by rearranging (most) of your files, and in doing so will most likely overwrite the files you want permanently deleted. Nice!

Do it right and do it better

While performing a defragmentation will probably do the trick, it's really not a viable solution. Waiting for disk defragmentation is not something I'd do every time I wanted to do a permanent deletion. The defragmentation process is way too long. The right way to how to permanently and quickly delete files is to use a program specifically designed for that purpose. You're in luck too because most Windows operating systems have a command line tool called CIPHER to do the trick!

Here's how to use CIPHER:

1. After closing all windows, open up a command window.

2. Type the following: cipher /w:driveletter:foldername where driveletter and foldername correspond to the drive a location of where your deleted file used to live.

3. Sit back and enjoy your freedom and privacy while your file is truly permanently deleted!

Here's an example:

I have a picture I want permanently deleted which stored on my computer at the following location:

C:imagesscandalous_picture.jpg

After deleting this picture and emptying the recycle bin, I would type the following (in a command prompt) to ensure that I can still run for senator (as long as they don't catch me in the airport bathroom):

C:>cipher /w:C:images

I can then move on to my life of privacy and carefree surfing!

You can do better!

Although I'm comfortable working with the command prompt, you may not be. No worries, there are plenty of other graphical based software tools that perform true permanent file deletion -- not to mention they are much less tedious to use. The review at freedback.org/Reviews/Software/Permanently-Delete-Files.html gives a good overview of some of the most popular graphic-based file deletion software available.

The Future of Windows Mobile

Mobile phone technology has been progressing so fast that even 5 years make a huge difference. Just a few years ago Smartphones were working only with Symbian OS and Palm OS. Later Microsoft created Windows Mobile and even Palm was forced to switch to that system. But more recently iPhone changed the whole concept of a smartphone and now iPhone and Android are becoming the main players on the smartphone market. But what about Windows Mobile? Will it be pushed away completely? I don't think so and let me explain why.

Many professionals still choose Windows Mobile because they prefer its simple straightforward interface to the overstuffed environment of iPhone and Android. Besides, Windows Mobile supports a very wide variety of different phone configurations, like phones with physical buttons, touch-screen phones, those that combine both physical buttons and touch-screen. iPhone does not offer that flexibility of choice and there are not many Android devices that have solid buttons. This is not just a matter of habit, when you have to type a lot, real solid buttons prove to be more convenient. The variety of different configurations of Windows Mobile phones is not limited to the keypad, apart from the standard "candy bar" configuration, there are flip phones, slider phones, vertical and horizontal layout and many other different features.

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

Of course the user interface is not the only strong side of Windows Mobile. Its main advantage lies in the best system compatibility with MS Windows. PCs running Microsoft Windows occupy by far the largest share of the computer market. And of course, as both systems come from the same origin, they have the best compatibility. And as MS Windows is most probably not going to loose its position as the most popular operating system for PCs, this advantage of Windows Mobile will always remain with it. One of the outcomes of this compatibility is the possibility to use Windows Mobile phone as a wireless modem for laptop or PC. As for me, this is so useful that just this feature alone is sufficient for me to not to even think of switching to a different platform (those who travel a lot and often need Internet access will understand me).

Now let us turn to the future. Towards the end of 2010 Microsoft is expected to release Windows Mobile 7. For the first time in the history of this system, Microsoft completely did away with the old versions and designed the new one from scratch. And, according to the reports, the new interface seems to keep pace with the competitors in every sense. Its well developed but at the same time simple and plain structure appeals to many. Let us see what new technical capabilities this system will have. One of the features that have been announced so far is a possibility of life update. So, unlike the current situation, when in most cases one has to buy a new phone to get updated to the latest version of Windows Mobile, updates will be done online like in PCs.

In the end let us give one more example, which is not a part of Windows Mobile but which works only with that platform. Sprite Backup software available only for Windows Mobile, allows one to make a complete backup of the phone on the storage card. This backup includes a complete system image and all user data. So, if anything goes wrong, one can just revert to the latest working condition by running the backup file. The backup file is self extracting, so no computer is needed. One can also transfer all user data and installed programs to a new phone. This is the most effective and practical way of data protection I've ever seen on mobile phones.

Probably I could now convince you not to forget Windows Mobile. Of course, its competitors are tough but I think all existing platforms will find their users.

NVidia Geforce 7300 GS Drivers For Windows 7

NVidia Geforece 7300 GS drivers are commonly downloaded from the NVidia website - and are available for Windows XP, Vista and 7. Although this card is now a few years old, downloading its drivers for Windows 7 is done by clicking onto the NVidia website, installing the software and then making sure that you can get the latest drivers available. The only problem is, for many people, that they cannot find the specific drivers required to help the 7300 card run correctly on Windows 7 - making it vital that you're able to use the steps outlined on this page to download the correct driver.

An Important Note

ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

It's important to note that NVidia creates drivers every week, and as a result it's essential that you download the latest version for your PC. Not only that, but it's also the case that Nvidia release a single driver for their graphics cards. This means that, even though it's the case that many people will try and download some other drivers, you should just download a single program to help this card to run correctly. This is good news, as it means that your PC should be able to operate smoothly as a result of having all the essential drivers that it requires to run.

What To Do If Your Graphics Don't Work Properly

If your graphics don't work properly on your system, it's recommended that you first look to ensure the card and monitor cables are secured correctly inside your PC. We've found that a lot of the time, people will inadvertently be unable to use their hardware, due to the way in which their hardware is not connected properly. To fix this, you should open the case of your PC, and make sure the card inside is secure. This can be done by beginners, but it's advised that you let a professional help you out.

It's also recommended that you remove any previously installed graphics drivers on your computer. This can be done by clicking onto "Start," accessing "Control Panel" and then picking "Add / Remove Programs." This will get rid of the various problems that Windows will have inside, ensuring that your PC is able to properly read the files and settings that are required to help it run. It's commonly the case that your PC will often become corrupted thanks to the way in which your system will have conflicting drivers - making it essential that you remove any NVidia graphics applications before you try and install new ones.

Finally, it might be the case that you have either downloaded the wrong driver, or just have some problems preventing your system from running correctly. To get around this, you should download a program called a "driver update" tool, which works by scanning through your PC's hardware, identifying any out-of-date drivers, and then updating them all as effectively as possible. This will make sure that your PC has all the correct drivers, allowing the graphics drivers you require to run properly.

For some users who have been stung by these issues, they have left the Microsoft operating system altogether because of the issues. Other decide to buy software to try to combat the problems.

microsoft security essentials download

Microsoft is starting to address these issues in ways besides security patches. In the past there was something called Windows Defender. While this program was basically good, it didn't quite catch all the issues and problems that existed with viruses, spam, etc. It was a good start, but nearly all users still needed additional software to provide the protection needed on a Window system.

MICROSOFT SECURITY

Recently a new attempt has come out called Microsoft Security Essentials. This is a free download that is designed to provide security and protection for your Windows systems from XP to Windows 7. It's designed to combat spyware, viruses, trojans, and other software that can damage or destroy your system and the data on it.

You simply can't afford to be without any type of protection. There are so many malicious things that can be done to your system that it is simply a matter of time before your get infected. While an infection is bad for you, it is really bad for everyone. Many users don't realize that when infected your PC can become part of the computing power used by spammers to send junk to people's email boxes.

The one big missing feature from this program is firewall protection. You will still need to have this turned on. In Windows you can do this through the operating system so it's not needed to be in the program. Some are used to their virus software having this feature, but it does not matter to much in this case.

If you are connected to other computers in any way, you can't afford to be without antivirus protection. Microsoft Security Essentials is a good first steps - it's easy, free, and does the basics well.

What to Do When Microsoft Windows XP Won't Shut Down

Windows users frequently run into problems no matter if they have advanced service packs installed on their computers or have downloaded updates etc. This doesn't mean that Windows is not worth using, it simply happens due to lots of applications that it runs simultaneously. You should be first aware of what can cause the problem and then move on to the instructions to solve it.

Common Reasons for the Shutdown Problem:

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

Device driver

Virus infection

Corrupted Registry Entries

Hardware and/or Software

Corrupted File System

Faulty/corrupted Hard Drive

Corrupted Firmware

Recent changes

Instructions:

Reboot Computer- A wrong or improper shutdown causes damage to the PC and thus prevents it from shutting down. Simplest of all methods, reboot your machine as it retunes the software and internal settings and therefore fixes the issue (s). You can also unplug the power cord of PC from the electricity outlet and at the same time disconnect other hardware pieces connected to the computer. Wait for 4-5 minutes and plug them back to see if the problem has resolved. This works most of the times.

Run Windows Update- It is necessary to run Windows Updates as these download and install latest patches, drivers, and definitions to your OS. The updates automatically fix any internal glitches and make your PC run smoothly.

Adjust Power Settings- Click on 'Start'> go to 'Control Panel'> click on 'Power Options'. If you don't see 'Power Options', on the top left hand panel, click on 'Switch to Classic View'. Now, click on the last tab saying 'APM' and put a checkmark in the box that says 'Enable Advanced Power Management Support'. Click on 'OK' to exit the window. If it doesn't work, check that your computer supports Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standards.

To check your PC's ACPI compliance, you need to click on the 'Start' menu> and click on 'Run'. Type 'devmgmt.msc' (without quotes) in the box and click on 'OK' or hit 'Enter' on the keyboard. Under the 'Device Manager' Window, click on the '+' sign leftwards 'Computer', it will show 'ACPI' there. If it's not there, it means your PC is not ACPI-compliant and hence you can't adjust power option settings.

Device Driver- Replace the faulty or damaged drive with a new one. Always download and install the latest, compatible drivers with whichever Windows version you have. Check your publisher or vendor's website for latest and compatible drivers.

Run Registry Cleaner- Repair corrupted/damaged registry entries by running a registry cleaner. This tool cleans up all the registry-related errors and helps Windows run smoothly and effectively. Also, if you recently removed a program from your PC but not its registry entries, it will result into registry error. The unused registry entries clog a computer and stop it from functioning properly. Therefore, always remove a program's registry entries also by going into the Windows Registry Editor.

Recent Changes- If you recently made changes to your PC like installing or removing a new software/program or hardware. Check that changes were made properly. A wrongly installed or removed software/hardware may result into Windows won't shutdown problem. Correct the changes accordingly.

Disable Wake on Setting - If your PC doesn't shutdown and reboots in a loop then this instruction is for you. It is because your PC's motherboard has an integrated Ethernet card that sets up wake on call. Check Device Manager's properties and disable the Wake-on setting.

Virus Infection- It is always advised to keep your antivirus updated so that it regularly installs latest security definitions that enhance your PC's defense systems. It is also advised to run scans on regular basis to help detect and remove any virus/malware infection immediately at the time it tries to penetrate your system's defense wall.

Hardware/Software- A wrongly installed, misconfigured, or faulty/corrupted software and/or hardware may result into Windows won't shutdown problem. So check what program or piece of hardware is causing the problem and correct it.

Upgrade System Firmware- Upgrade your system's Firmware to get rid of this problem.

Faulty Hard Drive- Replace the faulty or corrupted RAM stick. Check your hard drive by running 'chkdsk' command into the 'Run' window. Type the command without quotes in the box and hit 'Enter' on the keyboard. If the drive is fine, it won't show any message. If it comes up with a prompt that hard disc drive problems were not fixed, then it indicates towards hard drive problems. Type 'chkdsk /f and in the 'Run' box hit 'Enter'. Press 'Y' to fix the detected errors and 'N' to discontinue the command. If you press 'Y', it will fix the problem and save lost chain content as a file in the directory that can be checked later on. If you choose 'N' then it won't save the lost chain content.

Additional Tips:

Ensure that you are running latest service pack of Windows XP with all the updates duly downloaded and installed.

You must login as an administrator or at least should have equivalent right to perform some of the above mentioned instructions.

Linux Vs Windows XP

Are you in dilemma to choose the operating system for your computer Linux or Windows OS? Well, alike you there are many who come across similar kind of situation when it comes to more secure operating system. Microsoft's Windows system (OS) has been an obvious choice in the realm of the personal computer over the years. There are other operating systems also available like Apple's OS, the Unix OS, and Linux. There are different versions of Linux operating system and the most popular one is Ubuntu. In this article we will discuss which system is better in terms of security, speed, and stability as well as compatibility and user-friendliness.

It is said that Linux is more secure than Windows XP. This is because viruses commonly affect Windows computers while in rare cases you will find the Linux systems are infected by viruses. Since Windows is the most popular operating system, a large number of viruses are developed for it. But due to less popularity few viruses are written for Linux. In Linux operating system the user needs to enter the password to make any dangerous changes to their system while on Windows, the Administrator is the default user and due to this reason viruses can easily edit the system files without the user's permission.

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

Speed is another factor that one should bring under consideration. The latest version of Ubuntu is said to have faster startup and shutdown times than Windows operating system. Besides, when it comes to overall performance, the performance of Linux is much better than Windows XP. The reason behind this is that Linux uses memory more efficiently than XP. For Windows repair you can consult an operating system support provider.

Let's discuss about stability. Since Windows XP is in the being used for a long time many of the bugs have been worked out. Mostly it has driver issues. On the other hand, Linux is a different situation. Since this is open source application, it is quicker to find and fix bugs than in Windows. Microsoft does not release its source code and they need to find and fix the bugs themselves.

When it comes to compatibility, Windows is a better choice. Most of the software that you use will not work on Linux. According to the record, 90% of the software available on market is meant to work on Windows, but many things will not work on Linux. Windows XP is more user-friendly than Linux.

So, from the discussion it is quite evident that Linux is faster and more secure than Windows. On the other hand, Windows operating system is more polished and more compatible to meet the requirement of today's world.

Linux Vs Windows XP

There are many online computer repair companies that offer remote computer support to the PC users to cope with any types of PC issues. Services of these companies are available round the clock and are affordably priced.

Microsoft Windows Appcrash

The Windows Vista Appcrash error message can easily trigger a great deal of confusion for men and women who do not understand what it indicates, and also have no concept how to do away with it. What I'll be covering here is what Appcrash signifies, what it signifies in your case, plus the ways that it is possible to get rid of it from your computer.

microsoft security essentials download

The first factor that demands to be acknowledged about Appcrash is what it is. It is essentially a term invented by Microsoft to describe computer software crashes which are brought on by the applications running on your personal computer. Now, you may have plenty of distinctive programs running in your pc, and an application is 1 of the programs which you communicate with directly as an end user, to execute specific tasks which you want. Instances of applications would be spreadsheets, word processors, and e-mail programs. You will discover other forms of programs that can operate in your computer, which are not apps, such as background tasks, which operate on the pc without your attention or interaction. When an application crashes, it could trigger challenges to other components of the Windows operating method and other applications that you might have working, and this will usually result in an Appcrash error message.

MICROSOFT SECURITY

Quite frequently, an appcrash error is the first warning sign to inform you that things are happening on your pc that are not correct or as they will need to be. It could possibly be a software program corruption of some type, or even a warning sign of a computer virus or some other malware infection. This sign really should not be overlooked or ignored, because of the possible damage that can occur over time when the trouble worsens. In the worst-case situation, you may perhaps lose all of your data and need to reinstall windows from scratch in your personal computer.

The key source of these crashes comes from the Registry, which is a special database setup by the operating system to keep track of essential settings. These settings relate to the way that the hardware and software program on your computer functions, so glitches inside this particular database can easily cause the components and software on the computer to operate incorrectly.

Fixing the problems within the Windows registry is practically impossible to do manually, due to the intricacy of the databases. Normally, the Pc registry contains thousands and thousands or maybe millions of specific items, which require specialised knowledge to understand. So recognizing the error would be practically impossible to start off with, but now if you contemplate the fact that even a little error introduced accidentally, as you try to correct values inside of this database, can make your whole computer turn out to be unstable, you see the seriousness of the situation. This is the reason it is extremely essential to make use of specialised software to correct the harm for you, instead of try to do it your self. This computer software can scan a pc and immediately locate these errors, and then repair them for you, to ensure that you don't have to work with it on your own.

An additional conceivable cause of Windows Vista Appcrash problems can be the actions performed by spy ware, computer viruses, Trojan horses or additional malware programs, which are running in your computer. Most of these damaging programs have the capability to cause massive quantities of harm to your pc system, so the danger they pose to you is even larger then the occasional Appcrash error. For this reason, it is also a great concept to operate anti-virus software program regularly on your laptop or computer, specially once you start discovering Appcrash faults, to ensure that you may get rid of these kinds of infections as rapidly as feasible.

To execute a free registry scan, I suggest that you down load this software free of charge. Study the following guide concerning appcrash error for more information on keeping your personal computer functioning.

Windows XP - Update to Service Pack 3 by July 13 2010 Or Lose Automatic Updates

Microsoft ends their support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 on July 13 2010. It is essential that your Windows XP computer is running Service Pack 3 by this date in order to keep the automatic updates coming to your computer.

Microsoft's Update System

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

Microsoft regularly pushes updates, patches and security updates to computers running various versions of Windows XP. As new software problems and vulnerabilities are discovered, Microsoft prepares new updates to address them.

Microsoft's regular scheduled monthly update is on the second Tuesday of each month. This is often referred to inside the computer industry as "Patch Tuesday". Occasionally, Microsoft determines a patch or security update is too important to wait and send these updates out before the regular update schedule. These unscheduled updates are known as "out of band" updates.

Why The Updates Are Needed

Some of the updates are to fix glitches or minor problems with the different versions of Windows. Sometimes new features are added by the updates. But most important of all, security updates are sent out by Microsoft's update system.

Malicious software writers are constantly examining software for vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are problems or issues with the software code that allow them to access a computer. With this access, they can download and install viruses, trojans, spying software and other types of malicious software. Microsoft and other software vendors are always on the lookout for areas of their programs that could allow malicious access to a computer.

Its like a cat and mouse game. A software vendor releases a new program. The malicious software writers go to work looking for ways to exploit the software code to let them access your computer. As they find new ways to get inside your computer, the software companies find new ways to stop them with updates and patches. The malicious software writers go to work looking for ways to use the new updated code to let them in. The software vendor provides newer patches and updates. This game constantly swings back and forth.

Keeping your computer up to date is essential. And the way to keep your Windows software (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7) up to date is by using Microsoft's free update system. After a while software code gets to be too old to keep updating and patching. That is what is happening with Microsoft's decision to drop support on Windows XP Service Pack 2. As of July 13 2010, Microsoft will no longer support Windows XP running with Service Pack 2. They will continue to support Windows XP running Service Pack 3.

What Is A Service Pack?

A service pack is a collection of the patches, updates and security fixes for a product. For example when Windows XP was first available, it was the original version. After preparing updates and patches for awhile, Microsoft combined them together, along with some product enhancements and improvements into Service Pack 1. This process continued and Microsoft combined all the security patches and updates into Service Pack 2. This was several years ago.

In April 2008, Microsoft combined all of the previous patches, updates, security fixes and product enhancements into the latest service pack, Service Pack 3.

All of Microsoft's updates and service packs are free.

How Can I Check The Service Pack Level On My Computer?

To see which service pack your version of Windows is running, you need to press 2 keys on the keyboard at the same time.

Press the Windows "Flag" key in the lower left corner of the keyboard. It is located between the "Ctrl" key and the "Alt" key. While holding down the Windows "Flag" key, press the key labeled "Pause Break". This key is located in the upper right corner of the keyboard.

Once you press these 2 keys together you will see a "System Properties" screen. If this screen didn't pop up, try again. It can take a few tries to get the feel of using multiple key presses.

In the upper half of the "System Properties" screen there is information about the version of Windows you are running (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7). Just below this you will find the Service Pack level. For Windows XP, you should already be running Service Pack 3.

What To Do If Your Computer Is Not Running Service Pack 3 for Windows XP

If you are running Windows XP and are not running Service Pack 3, check to be sure your computer is set up to receive Windows Automatic Updates.

To check this, bring up the "System Properties" screen again by pressing the "Windows Flag" and "Pause Break" keys at the same time again. When the "System Properties" screen appears, you will notice there are two rows of tabs at the top of the page.

Click the "Automatic Updates" tab at the top. Be sure the "Automatic" selection is marked. Press the "OK" button at the bottom.

When Automatic Updates is active, your computer will automatically check with Microsoft to see which updates your computer needs. Your computer will automatically download and install the updates. This is the easiest way to keep your Windows current and up to date. Its also the recommended way to keep your Windows current and up to date.

Some people prefer to use the second selection, "Download updates for me but let me decide when to install them". With this option, your computer downloads all the updates and then notifies you they are ready. From here you can review them and decide which updates to use and when to install them. This option is often used by more advanced computer users.

You Can Also Update Manually

If for some reason your computer will not update with the automatic downloads, you can go to Microsoft's web site and select and download Windows updates manually. The web site address for manual Windows updates is http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Microsoft Windows Vista - Why is This Operating System So Special? And Your Basic Computer Training

Our Computer Basic Training lesson for today will be focusing on Windows Vista and what makes this particular one so unique from the previous versions from Microsoft group. The latest operating system to be released by the Microsoft Corporation giant in their Windows line is Windows Vista. This new operating system has been hailed as the next great wave of operating systems (OS) with new improved features and a user interface like no other in their Windows series. So what should you expect to see new in Windows Vista?

But before we continue with today's computer basic training lesson, lets take a look at the true meaning of Computer Operating System. In its basic form, the definition of an operating system is as follows: a set of computer programs that manage the hardware and software resources of a computer system. We can add to that definition to say that an operating system rationally processes electronic devices in response to approved commands.

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS LATEST VERSION

Most significant in Windows Vista is the way it looks (some people say its fantastic but you, whats your verdict?). It has brighter colors, more graphics, and capabilities for keeping multiple windows open on the same screen. Think of it as a computer version of picture in picture. Sounds strange to you? Why not, if you're still struggling to acquire your basic computer training? This is referred to as Windows Aero and is a completely new graphical user interface.

Here are just few of other highlights that make Windows Vista so great:

Windows Sidebar and gadgets that allows you to add an almost endless list of different gadgets.Basic file backup and restore.Improved DVD support that'll enable you to easily create custom your DVD movies.Shadow copy, a feature that allows you to recover deleted files easily.Easy transfer, a feature that allows you to easily transfer files from an older computer to the new computer.Enhanced file encryption.Instant search available through all Explorer windows.Self-healing, the ability to automatically detect and correct problems that may be encountered on your computer.Improved photo gallery and control of your photographs.More parental control.Improved Windows Calendar, with the ability to easily set your tasks and appointments. As was the case with other releases of Windows, the new Windows Vista is not without its critics. The biggest complaint among users of this operating system is that its system requirements are so high that you need a very large memory just to install the software. It takes up so much room on the hard driver, the computer runs slower.

Before we summarize today's lesson, you should also note that: even though Windows Vista is flashier and looks prettier, many people have trouble adapting to the new features. It's sometimes difficult to change over to something you're not used to. With everything that's new in Windows Vista, it can be overwhelming, but this is where you take it slow and explore your new operating system to make the best of it.

Almost all the problems and bugs in Windows Vista simply require a workaround or a change in the way you use it. Overall, Windows Vista has been hailed as a great new product ushering in a new era in computer technology today.

The choice has to be up to you whether or not you want to upgrade, but if you do, we're relatively sure you're in for a wonderful experience. But with your basic computer training, you should be able to handle most of these tasks. Hope you enjoyed our lesson for today! There are more free lessons for you to master so much about your OS and your computer basic training faster, available from my free newsletter publications on my website.
